My work concerns itself broadly with restriction and freedom, and in a more basic sense, order and chaos. The actual making of my work is integral with its design – materials and processes dancing with the ideas and concepts brought to the workbench. I draw inspiration from mechanics, plants, insects, movies, my girlfriend’s lips and the tasty food I eat.
I learned so many things whilst studying at Enmore – primarily it gave me a taste for making that i am still trying to satiate. From simple concepts, design, material knowledge, hand skills, machining, and the beginning of real-world survival skills, there was the basis of all I needed to start the process of learning harder lessons by myself. I still miss the classroom, and the teachers, especially Robin Blau!

My advice is to go hard – do this only if you feel passionate about it! Learn as much as you can – don’t worry about your grades – worry about doing as much as you can and learning as much as you can and pushing yourself into new territory. An amazing school like Enmore gives you the opportunity to really explore possibilities – it is likely to be the best chance to explore that you will ever get!
